Richmond no match for No. 20 Temple

PHILADELPHIA - Candice Dupree scored 16 and Khadija Bowens added 15 to lead No. 20 Temple to a 65-46 victory over Richmond on Friday night.
The Owls (16-5, 7-2 Atlantic 10) never trailed and led by as many as 26 when Bowens converted a three-point play with 8:19 remaining.
Kamesha Hairston and Ashley Morris scored eight apiece for Temple, which defeated Richmond for the fifth straight time and improved to 7-0 this season against teams with losing records.
Araceli Gil led the Spiders (8-14, 3-7) with 12 points, and Sarah Williams added 10. Richmond lost its third straight overall.
The Spiders shot 27 percent in the first half and trailed 31-17. They opened the second half by hitting two of their first 15 shots and fell behind 48-24.
EAST TENNESSEE ST. 88, JACKSONVILLE 73: With the loss, the Dolphins' nation-leading losing streak extended to 18.
NORTH FLORIDA 72, KENNESAW 68: Alain Laroche hit two layups for the host Ospreys to erase a four-point deficit with 1:04 left.
