College basketball

Today: FSU at No.2 Duke

Published February 4, 2006

WHEN/WHERE: Noon; Cameron Indoor Stadium, Durham, N.C.

TV/RADIO: FSN; 1470-AM. RECORDS: FSU - 13-5, 4-4. Duke - 20-1, 8-0.

COACHES: FSU - Leonard Hamilton (58-53, fourth season; 258-263 overall). Duke - Mike Krzyzewski (668-188, 26th season; 741-247).

NOTABLE: The Seminoles, who won one ACC road game in the previous four years, already have scored two away from home, including their most recent, at Wake Forest on Jan. 24. They haven't won three league road games in a season since 1995-96. Of course, they're 0-14 at Duke. The Blue Devils' sensational seniors, guard J.J. Redick and forward Shelden Williams, are again playing like All-Americans. Redick leads the ACC in scoring (27.8 ppg), the highest average since North Carolina State legend David Thompson averaged 29.9 in the 1974-75 season. Williams leads the ACC in rebounding (9.6 a game) and blocked shots (3.5 a game). Duke has won four straight against FSU and leads the series 24-4.
