Today: No.8 UF vs. Kentucky
By ANTONYA ENGLISH
Published February 4, 2006
WHEN/WHERE: 9; Stephen C. O'Connell Center, Gainesville.
TV/RADIO: ESPN2. WHNZ-AM 1250.
RECORDS: Kentucky - 15-6, 5-2. UF - 19-2, 5-2 SEC.
COACHES: Kentucky - Tubby Smith (234-64, ninth season; 358-126); UF - Billy Donovan (212-94 in 10th season; 247-114 overall).
NOTABLE: The Gators are going for a school-record 20 straight home wins in front of a national television audience and a sold out arena. Florida has won the last two against the Wildcats, including last season's SEC Tournament championship game. ESPN's GameDay will televise live (11 a.m. and 8 p.m.) from Gainesville. Florida is Kentucky's fifth ranked opponent this season, and while the Wildcats are just 2-2, Florida knows they can't be overlooked.
"It's tradition, that's all you can say about them," UF senior Adrian Moss said.
