Cowboys' late push helps end losing skid

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Terrel Harris' 3-pointer with one minute to go gave Oklahoma State a 62-61 lead, and the Cowboys held on for a 63-61 victory Saturday over Kansas State, which blew a nine-point lead in the last five minutes.
The win snapped a four-game losing skid for Oklahoma State (13-9, 3-5 Big 12), the longest conference losing streak in Eddie Sutton's 16 years as coach.
The Cowboys' Mario Boggan hit the first of two free throws with 3.6 seconds left, and the Wildcats inbounded the ball with 2.3 remaining. Kansas State (12-7, 3-5) barely got the ball across midcourt and never got off a shot.
TEXAS TECH 73, MISSOURI 55: Jarrius Jackson and Darryl Dora each scored 22 as the host Red Raiders handed the Tigers their fifth straight loss. Texas Tech (12-10, 4-4 Big 12) never trailed and led by as much as 21 before Missouri (10-10, 3-6) used a 15-2 run to pull within 59-51 with 5:08 left. The Red Raiders responded with a 12-0 run.
NEB. 60, BAYLOR 45: Aleks Maric scored 12 during a 26-5 run at the start of the second half to lead the host Cornhuskers (15-6, 5-3 Big 12).
PURDUE 70, WISC. 62: Marcus White had 18 points and Matt Kiefer 16 as the host Boilermakers (8-13, 2-8 Big Ten) snapped their five-game losing streak.
ARIZ. ST. 68, USC 65: Jeff Pendergraph had 15 points and seven rebounds as the Sun Devils (8-12, 2-9 Pac-10) surprised the Trojans. Arizona State ended a four-game losing streak to USC (15-7, 6-5) and beat it in Los Angeles for the second time in 10 games.
CAL 62, OREGON 60: Ayinde Ubaka scored 20 to lead the Golden Bears (14-6, 8-3 Pac-10), who improved to 5-2 on the road in conference games. Cal made 6 of 7 free throws in the final 43 seconds.
La SALLE 62, TEMPLE 56: Steven Smith scored 13 of his 21 in the second half and the host Explorers shot 14-for-28 from 3-point range. La Salle (13-7, 5-4 Atlantic 10) won its third straight and snapped a 15-game losing streak against Big Five competition, the longest winless run in the 50-year history of games played by city rivals Temple, La Salle, Penn, Saint Joseph's and Villanova.
WICHITA ST. 71, S. ILL. 63 (2OT): Paul Miller scored a career-high 30, six in the second extra period, for the host Shockers (19-5, 10-3 Missouri Valley). Jamal Tatum hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer in regulation for the Salukis (16-7, 9-4) to tie it at 53. With it 58-all near the end of the first overtime, Wichita State's Matt Brauer lost the ball driving toward the basket.

FAMU 87, MORGAN ST. 79 (OT): Rome Sanders scored 27 and had 11 rebounds to lead the visiting Rattlers (11-11, 7-3 MEAC). With 22 seconds left in regulation, Morgan State's Marcus Gomes hit a 3-pointer to tie it.
B-CC 63, COPPIN ST. 62: Sam Barber scored a game-high 24, finishing with a layup with 10.7 seconds left to give the visiting Wildcats (10-11, 6-4 MEAC) the win. The Eagles (7-14, 7-3) missed two shots in the final seconds.
MIDDLE TENN. 66, FIU 64: Adam Vogelsberg and Tim Blue each scored 12 for the visiting Blue Raiders (11-9, 4-4 Sun Belt). The Golden Panthers (5-15, 2-6) led by as many as nine but were held scoreless for nearly eight minutes late in the game.
BELMONT 75, STETSON 68: Justin Hare scored 17 to lead visiting Belmont. E.J. Gordon scored 15 to lead the Hatters (5-17, 4-9 Atlantic Sun). With 1,508 career points, Gordon is the sixth player in school history and 20th in conference to surpass 1,500.
UAB 75, UCF 68: Brandon Tobias and Derrick Broom came off the bench to score in double digits for the visiting Blazers (16-4, 6-1 Conference USA). The Golden Knights (9-10, 3-3) made it 66-62 with 1:25 left on Mike O'Donnell's 3-pointer but never got closer.
FAU 77, GARDNER-WEBB 63: Rodney Webb had 18 points and 10 rebounds for the host Owls (11-10, 10-4 Atlantic Sun).
ROLLINS 60, ECKERD 55: Deon Troupe led all scorers with 22 for the visiting Tars (16-5, 9-2 Sunshine State). Matt Cenatus had 13 points and four assists for the Tritons (16-5, 6-4).
LYNN 64, TAMPA 49: Marcus Hayes scored 19 to lead the host Knights (17-5, 9-2). The Spartans (15-7, 6-5) shot 37.5 percent for their fewest points this season.
SAINT LEO 58, BARRY 54: Scott Seifert had 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead the visiting Lions (7-15, 3-8 SSC).
