Northside Christian School, 7777 62nd Ave. N, St. Petersburg, will have an open house at 7 p.m. Thursday for prospective kindergarten through 12th-grade students. Applications are available to public and private K-12 students in Pinellas County to enter the Young at Art exhibition. The exhibition of student artwork is a component of the Mainsail Arts Festival to be held April 22-23 in St. Petersburg. The work is prejuried and will be judged at Mainsail for awards and recognition.
The deadline for submissions is March 24. Applications can be obtained through public school art departments or by calling Mary Klein at 727 418-8887, or e-mailing her at Vlkrie@aol.com

The Pinellas County School Board will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the district administration building, 301 Fourth St. SW, Largo.
The public is invited to attend. Anyone wishing to speak on either agenda or nonagenda items can do so by filling out a form at or before the meeting. Citizens may speak about any item on the agenda not involving a hearing on employee discipline by registering five minutes before the item is introduced.
The meeting will be televised at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays for two weeks after the meeting date. All broadcasts are shown on WPDS-Ch. 14, which appears on Knology Ch. 14 and Bright House Networks Ch. 14.
