Air Force 2nd Lt. Mary Elizabeth Harding, daughter of Stephanie J. Harding of Clearwater and granddaughter of Raymond and Barbara Smith of Pinellas Park, recently received her commission after completing the ROTC program at the University of Florida. She is a space and missiles officer and will be stationed at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. She is a 2001 graduate of Largo High School and earned a bachelor's degree from UF.

Marine Corps Pvt. Christopher N. Rollison, son of Neal E. Rollison of St. Petersburg, recently graduated from the Marine Corps Basic Combat Engineer Course at Marine Corps Engineer School, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Army Pvt. Daniel C. Walter, son of Doug and Marcie Walter of St. Petersburg, has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Knox, Ky. He is a 2004 graduate of St. Petersburg High School.
