Man, 52, accused of attacking girlfriend

NEW PORT RICHEY - Deputies arrested a 52-year-old construction worker Monday who is accused of breaking his girlfriend's arm with a baseball bat last month.

David Wayne Fricks of 12324 State Road 54 in New Port Richey told deputies the woman broke her arm while "helping him lasso a bull." Fricks was charged with domestic aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He is being held without bail at the Pasco County Jail.

The arrest report said 48-year-old Tracy Ann Sadler told deputies Fricks broke her arm with an aluminum bat Jan. 25 because she put aside $40 for a plane ticket. She did not report the injury to deputies. Monday, the report said, Fricks hit her in the face and kicked her because she "didn't have anything cooked."

A friend took her to the hospital and she reported the attacks to deputies.
