Man, 71, accused of paying teen boy for sex

PORT RICHEY - A 71-year-old man is facing charges on accusations that he paid a 17-year-old boy to perform oral sex on him and took photos of the juvenile while the teen has partially naked, authorities said.
Rodney J. Sullivan of 4620 Bay Blvd. No. 1147 was arrested at 5:48 p.m. Tuesday on charges of sexual battery on a person under 18, possession of child pornography, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to an affidavit from the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. According to the affidavit, a witness gave a deputy photographs of a 17-year-old boy posing without his pants on.
The boy said Sullivan took the photos at his apartment and paid him to have oral sex, the affidavit said.
Sullivan admitted he had taken photos of the boy, the affidavit said.
The relationship between the two had been going on for a few months, Port Richey police Chief Bill Sager said.
Deputies searched Sullivan's apartment and found marijuana, two glass pipes and a water pipe with marijuana residue in a dresser drawer, authorities said.
Sullivan was being held Wednesday in lieu of $101,500 bail at the jail in Land O'Lakes.
