President Bush will visit Tampa's MacDill Air Force Base on Friday to get a briefing at Central Command. He will then deliver a speech on terrorism, but the location has not been announced.

Friday night, he is scheduled to speak at a fundraising dinner in Orlando for the Republican Party of Florida.

Small fire at Biltmore forces evacuation

BELLEAIR - A small fire broke out in a kitchen at the Belleview Biltmore resort on Saturday morning, forcing guests to evacuate their rooms for about an hour.

The fire appears to have started about 5 a.m. in a stove in the kitchen of the hotel's Palm Grill restaurant. The blaze was quickly contained, though smoke moved through the duct system and caused the alarms to go off.

More than 200 guests had to evacuate their rooms until about 7 a.m. No one was hurt.

The hotel, located at 25 Belleview Blvd., will use its large banquet kitchen to cook meals for the next few days, said Jennifer Addison, director of marketing.

"There will be no disruption in service to our guests," she said.

The historic Belleview is one of the nation's largest all-wooden hotel structures.
