Girl, 12, accuses man of molesting her; he's jailed

CRYSTAL RIVER - A man was arrested Friday after a 12-year-old girl accused him of sexually molesting her.
Richard Jason Christiansen, 31, 9684 W Orchard St., was arrested after sheriff's detectives conducted an interview the girl who said he sexually abused her several times and showed her pornographic movies, according to the arrest report. Christiansen was charged with molestation of a child under 16 years of age. He remained in jail Sunday and his bail was $15,000.
Deputies' dog turns traffic stop into a drug arrest
FLORAL CITY - A man was arrested after a drug-sniffing dog discovered methamphetimines during a traffic stop, a Sheriff's Office report said.
John Wesley Spell, 46, 4768 Meadow St., Homosassa, was driving a vehicle that was pulled over by deputies on U.S. 41 in Floral City Saturday night.
A drug-sniffing dog alerted the deputies to the presence of drugs, and after some questioning, Spell produced his wallet, which contained a plastic bag with a small amount of meth, the report said. Two glass pipes were also found in the vehicle, the report stated. He posted a $5,000 bail and was released Sunday.
2 arrested after squabble turns into knife fight
FLORAL CITY - Two men were arrested after a squabble in which one is accused of holding a knife against the other's throat.
Joseph Emanuel Coldsnow, 19, 9005 S Waterview Drive, Floral City, and Todd Michael Lemming, 22, 160 S Savary Ave., Inverness, were in Coldsnow's yard late Saturday night when Coldsnow wrapped a drawstring from Lemming's sweater twice around Lemming's neck, the report said.
Lemming pulled a knife and held it against Coldsnow's throat, the report said. Coldsnow grabbed Lemming's hands and pulled the knife away, then went inside his residence, the report said.
Both men were arrested. Coldsnow was charged with battery. Lemming was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He posted bail and was released Sunday.
