The Coast Guard is searching for a man who disappeared from a fishing vessel about 114 miles west of St. Petersburg Wednesday, Coast Guard officials said today.

The man, who is believed to be about 35 years old, was working on the 44-foot Warrior, a fishing vessel based out of Madiera Beach, said Coast Guard spokeswoman Judy Silverstein. She said the man apparently fell into the water around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Another man was pulled from the water around the time the 35-year-old was reported missing, Silverstein said. It is not known whether he was working with the other man or was trying to save him, she said.
