CITRUS COUNTY SPEEDWAY
LOCATION: 3600 S Florida Ave., Inverness. Two miles south of State Road 44 on U.S. 41 at the Citrus County Fairgrounds.
HOURS: Grandstand gates open at 4 p.m.; pit gates open at 2 p.m. Heats start at 6 p.m.
REGULAR PROGRAM: Includes heats and features for Late Models, Mini Stocks, Hobby Stocks, Thunder Stocks, Four-cylinder Bombers, Figure 8's and Modifieds. New for this year, the speedway has combined the Super Stocks and Sportsman into a division called the Limited Sportsman. The season runs through Nov. 11 with the track closed March 11 for the county fair.
DEFENDING CHAMPIONS: Late Model - Herb Neumann Jr.; Modified - Billy Bechtelheimer; Sportsman - Rick Kase; Super Stock - Bobby Taylor; Mini Stock - Chris Hooker; Hobby Stock - Curtis Flanagan; Thunder Stock - Steve Stinedurf; 4 Cylinder Bomber - Tim Herrington; Figure 8 - Darryl Hage.
PRICES: $12 for adults; $8 for senior citizens and students; $6 for children; $2 for children under 42 inches. Pit gate admission is $20 regularly and $25 on special events. Special events are $15 for adults, $10 for senior citizens and students and $8 for children, $2 for children under 42 inches.

DE SOTO SUPER SPEEDWAY
LOCATION: 21000A S.R. 64 E, Bradenton. Nine miles east of Interstate 75 on State Road 64 (Exit 42).
HOURS: Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7. Most events are Saturdays.
REGULAR PROGRAM: Includes heats and features in Pure Stocks, Cowboy Cadillac, Street Stocks, Modified Minis, Mini Stocks, Trucks, Bombers. Some weeks the track runs Limited Late Models, Outlaw Late Models and/or Outlaw Modifieds. The season opens Saturday and runs weekly exception for April29. The track will be closed Oct.21, races will be Oct.20 that week. The season ends Nov.25.

EAST BAY RACEWAY
LOCATION: 6311 Burts Road, Gibsonton. Five miles south of Interstate 4 on Route 41 or take Exit 48 off of Interstate 75.
HOURS: Gates open at 5 p.m. Saturdays with racing at 6:30.
REGULAR PROGRAM: Includes heats and features in Open Wheel Modifieds, Late Models, Limited Late Models, Outlaw 4s, Limited Sprints, Street Stocks and 4-cylinder Bombers. The regular season begins March 4. Extra program scheduled April 21. No racing May 27. At press time, a schedule was only available through June 24.
SPECIAL EVENTS: 360 Sprints scheduled March 11, April 8, May 13 and June 10. No Limited Late Models, Late Models or Open Wheeled Modifieds on nights when 360s race.

USA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY
LOCATION: Old Polk City Road, Lakeland. Head east on Interstate 4 to Exit 20 (Route 33). Go north to first left (Tomkow Road). Follow Tomkow to T-intersection and turn right onto Polk City Road.
HOURS: Racing begins at 7:30 p.m.
REGULAR PROGRAM: No weekly racing but several special events, featuring the Hooters ProCup Series on June 3, Sept. 2 and Nov. 25.
OTHER EVENTS: April 29 - FASCAR Sunbelt Series 125, Southern Sportsman Series, Florida Mini Stock Challenge Series. July 21-22 - State Late Model Championships, FASCAR Sunbelt Super Series 200, FASCAR Pro Trucks. Oct.21 - FASCAR Pro Trucks, Southern Sportsman Series, Florida Mini Stock Challenge Series. Nov.25 - Four Champions Memorial Hooters 300.
