Verdi show a rare treat

Soprano Asako Tamura and baritone Michael Corvino are in Sarasota Opera's production of a Verdi rarity, I Masnadieri (The Robbers), which opens Saturday and runs through March 18. The opera, Verdi's 11th, was revived in London in 2002, and the critic for Opera said, "There is marvelous music in it.'' Victor DeRenzi conducts, and stage direction is by Martha Collins. $19-$99.
