INVERNESS - An Orlando developer has filed plans with the county for a 370-home project on 141 acres just south of the city limits.

According to county senior planner Margaret Beake, Vista Realty Inc. of Orlando has asked the county to approve a master plan for the development, which would be on the west side of Pleasant Grove Road (County Road 581) about a mile south of State Road 44. George and Cynthia Brannen own the property, which is zoned for low-density residential use. A 120-acre portion of the property was appraised at $540,000 last year, according to the Citrus County Property Appraiser.
