TAMPA - The Ramada Inn guest said no thanks to the young man who offered to sell him drugs. Then the guest called police.

Officers went to the hotel, 2106 E Busch Blvd., and started watching Room 308.

Three men left the room Thursday night and drove off in a Nissan Xterra, Tampa police spokesman Joe Durkin said.

The officers pulled the vehicle over and were hit with the pungent aroma of an illegal substance.

They searched the Nissan, then went to Room 308.

Ultimately, officers seized $8,000 worth of marijuana, about $2,000 worth of cocaine, more than $1,400 in cash and a loaded 9mm handgun.

Rushuan A. Lewis, 24, of Tampa, Jahroy E. Sackey, 26, of Orlando, and Devon A. Phillop, 21, of Orlando were arrested and booked into the county jail.
