NEW PORT RICHEY - A 40-year-old man turned himself in Thursday after deputies found 81 marijuana plants at his mobile home last week.

John Caceres, of 3707 Elfers Parkway in New Port Richey, was charged with cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana, according to an affidavit.

Deputies from the Pasco County Sheriff's Office found transformers, a marijuana smoking device and other paraphernalia at Caceres' home after receiving a call about an open door about 8 a.m. on Feb. 14, the affidavit said. Caceres was booked Thursday at the Land O'Lakes Detention Center. He was released Friday on $10,000 bail.
