NEW PORT RICHEY - A Tampa man is in jail after a sheriff's deputy caught him with heroin in a diner bathroom, the Pasco Sheriff's Office said.

Cary Dean Neptune, 22, of 16541 Brigadoon Drive, will face charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to his arrest report, early on Saturday morning a deputy opened a bathroom stall door at the Denny's Restaurant at 4442 U.S. 19 to find Neptune holding a syringe, with a spoon, lighter and plastic bag with residue nearby.

The items tested positive for heroin, though Neptune said he was taking the pain medication OxyContin, the report says.

He remained jailed Sunday in Land O'Lakes in lieu of $1,200 bail.
