Give her the gold
Letters to the Editor
Published March 5, 2006
Sharon Fink's "Irreverent Look at the Winter Games" was a daily spark in a sometimes boring two weeks of performance and nonperformance from some of our so-called Olympic "stars." . . . Let's give her the medal.

Winter wonderful
Re: Winner & Whiner, Feb. 26
John Romano and Gary Shelton provided wonderful Olympic coverage. The Sunday articles about Joey Cheek and Bode Miller were terrific. While we can appreciate Miller's lighthearted approach to life and his different upbringing, a rebel can still be responsible and mature. What a waste - I hope he feels something inside he is not allowing himself to show outwardly.

Don't doff the cap
Please don't mess the NFL up by getting rid of the salary cap. Any given Sunday will turn into any given million!
Please stop scaring us. Football is all some of us have, that hope that every year our team will somehow make it to the big game.
-- Todd Lear, Holiday
Race to print
I would like to see more coverage on the American LeMans series. With NASCAR, open wheel, Grand-Am and soon F1 becoming spec series, the ALMS is where you will see high-tech prototypes. The '06 season starts with one of the greatest races in the world, the 12 Hours of Sebring, where the race is what is important not what happens before or after.
