AirTroductions is a new Web site that aims to match singles by sitting them next to each other on flights to San Francisco, New York and beyond. So far, more than 10,000 flyers have signed up to be paired up.

To take part, go to www.airtroductions.com fill out a profile, including a photo if you like, and enter your itinerary. AirTroductions will e-mail you a list of registered folks on the same flight. You can send an e-mail to anyone who looks interesting and then plan to meet before the flight to attempt a seat change. You pay $5 for every person you contact.
