Teacher held on porn charge

Pinellas County sheriff's officials have charged a kindergarten teacher and coach at Berkeley Preparatory School on a charge of possession of child pornography, sheriff's officials said Thursday. Detectives began an investigation into Andrew Brian Goldstein, 29, of Oldsmar was arrested after someone complained that he had inappropriate Internet communications with teenage girls, sheriff's officials said. Detectives seized computer files depicting child pornography, authorities said. The investigation began Tuesday evening. Goldstein, who is a counselor at the Golda-Meir/Kent Jewish Center in Clearwater, was arrested shortly before midnight Wednesday. He was being held at the Pinellas County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. Administrators at Berkeley Prep and the Jewish Center both said Thursday that they had fired Goldstein as a result of the arrest.
