By MICHAEL CANNING
Published March 10, 2006

LOCATION: 4120 N "A" St., at Lois Avenue

DEVELOPER: Brinks Development, Tampa

DESCRIPTION: Two buildings containing a total of eight three-story townhomes. All units will have three bedrooms and 21/2 bathrooms, and will range from about 1,700 to 2,000 square feet. The architectural style is contemporary.

PRICE: Approximately $399,000 to $450,000

ARCHITECT: Rojo Architecture, Tampa

AMENITIES: Hardwood floors; stainless-steel appliances and granite counter tops in kitchens; Jacuzzis in bathrooms; crown molding; high ceilings; balconies on five of the units; two-car garage for each unit; wiring for high-speed Internet access and a security system.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING: General contractor Tom Harmon "got a big charge out of it" when his company, A-Harmony LLC, signed on to the project. Harmon lived on the property in 1963 when it was the Lois A Apartments and he was a University of Tampa student. "There were two elderly ladies that ran it, and they ran it like a very tight ship."

TIMELINE: The Lois A Apartments were demolished in December. Construction should begin within 45 days and take eight to 10 months, said Brinks Development president Kevin Brinkworth.

MOVE-IN DATE: Upon completion of construction.
