Woman killed in apparent hit-and-run

LUTZ - A woman was killed late Friday, the victim of an apparent hit and run, Hillsborough County sheriff's officials said.

The woman's name or age wasn't available late Friday, sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said.

The woman was struck about 10:30 p.m. at U.S. 41 and Whitaker Road.
