BRANDON - A 37-year-old Dover man was shot and killed Saturday night after three armed men invaded his home, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. Dennis Villalobos died about 9:10 p.m. in the home at 14030 Sydney Road, deputies said.

A witness told deputies that three men forced their way into the home, ordering Villalobos, the witness and two other people to lie on the floor. Someone then shot Villalobos, and the intruders fled.

They left behind a Dodge Intrepid that had been stolen about an hour earlier in a nearby carjacking, deputies said. Detectives interviewed only one shooting witness because the others fled before authorities arrived. The investigation continued Sunday evening.
