ARCHITECTURE

Hellmuth, Obata+ Kassabaum Inc. (HOK Florida Architects), 1 Tampa City Center, Suite 1800, Tampa, announces its contract with the University of Central Florida, Orlando, for architectural design service for a 157,000-square-foot biomedical building, $43-million.

Mason Blau & Associates Inc., 4625 East Bay Drive, Suite 228, Clearwater, announces its contract with the Drug Abuse Comprehensive Coordinating Office Inc. for architectural services for a women's center and outpatient center totaling 65,000 square feet. The women's center includes residential treatment facilities, a child development center, dining facilities, meeting rooms and administrative offices, plus a separate group of duplex townhomes to accommodate women who will be living at the facilities with their children. The outpatient center will include a methadone treatment clinic, a substance abuse treatment clinic, a young adult program, drug screening, prevention offices, meeting rooms and administrative offices at 4422 E Columbus Drive, Tampa, $11-million.

Wedding, Stephenson & Ibarguen Architects Inc., 300 First Ave. S, Suite 402, St. Petersburg, announces its contract with Hubbard Enterprises to design the Maritana condominiums. The project consists of 11 two-story townhomes built over individual units' parking garages, plus a top-floor penthouse for a total of 30,000 square feet, at Gulf Boulevard between 135th and Boca Ciega avenues, Madeira Beach, $3-million.

Gerson Goodson Inc., 2451 McMullen-Booth Road, Suite 216, Clearwater, announces these additions to its client portfolio: Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association (ALSA), the nonprofit organization dedicated to researching a cure for Lou Gehrig's disease, for which Gerson Goodson will develop more specific human resource policies and procedures; and Midnite Productions, an entertainment and event company for college students, for which Gerson Goodson will provide public relations services.
