Read the research about seniors

In case you didn't have it on your calendar, March 20 was Wellderly Well-elderly Day, which "celebrates and recognizes senior citizens who don't act their age.'' For older folks who want some statistical research on being a senior, the U.S. Government Printing Office offers a number of publications about health and well-being. nAlzheimer's Disease: Unraveling the Mystery explains Alzheimer's and describes what has been learned about it to date. Provides a glimpse into future directions for research. Published in 2002; 60 pages; CD-ROM included. Order by S/N 017-024-01679-9, $17.

nWomen's Health and Aging Study: Health and Social Characteristics of Older Women with Disability introduces a study of 1,002 women, age 65 years and older, who were moderately to severely disabled, but not severely cognitively impaired, when the study began.
