DADE CITY - A 19-year-old man faces burglary and arson charges after destroying photos of his ex-girlfriend and setting a house on fire, authorities said.

Michael Deshawn Wigfall, 18440 Hamilton Road, was arrested Wednesday after pouring gasoline in both bedrooms and the hallway and starting the fire, according to an affidavit from the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

The house at 37043 Florida Ave. is owned by Maria Otero, the affidavit said.

Wigfall entered the house through an unsecured door and without the juvenile victim's consent with the intention of committing arson, the affidavit said.

Wigfall was arrested at 38042 Pasco Ave. and is being held in lieu of $120,000 bail at the Land O'Lakes jail.
