Country, Christian acts to do Fiesta tunes

Chasco Fiesta's nightly music events continue from 6 to 11 tonight with Contemporary Christian Family Night, starring Desert Rain Band, Andrew Phillip and Matthew West.

Tickets are $5 in advance at the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce office on the northwest corner by the Cotee River bridge on Main Street, or $7 at the gate.

Saturday's big music event is the Chasco Country Concert, with headliner Blake Shelton (Blake Shelton's Barn and Grill) and opening acts Keith Anderson (Beer Run - B Double E Double Are You In?), Wiley Fox and Jenna Thomas. Tickets are $15 and $25 in advance or $20 and $30 at the gate.

A free shuttle service from free off-site parking lots will run every 30 minutes from 5 to 11:30 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday. Parking lots are at the West Pasco Board of Realtors and Faith Lutheran Church on Sunset Road east of U.S. 19 and north of Main Street and at the property of the future Upper Room Apostolic Church, corner of Indiana Avenue and Congress Street, New Port Richey.

Today 9 a.m.-11 p.m.: Native American Festival

10 a.m.-4 p.m.: Chasco Fiesta Memorabilia Exhibit, West Pasco Historical Society

12:30 p.m.: Chasco Fiesta Golf Tournament, Beacon Woods Golf Club; registration at 11:30 a.m.

11 a.m.-11 p.m.: West Pasco Sertoma Chicken Barbecue 5-11 p.m.: Chasco Carnival

6-11 p.m.: Contemporary Christian Family Night, with Desert Rain Band, Andrew Phillip and Matthew West ($5 in advance, $7 at the gate)

Saturday 8-11 a.m.: Cotee River Lions Club Breakfast

8:15 a.m.: 10K In-line Skate, Bicycle Tours (10K, 25K, 50K and 100K and the 16K off-road mountain bike race); 5K and 10K foot race and 8K off road foot race; 1-mile Fun Run and Walk, all at Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park; registration is 7 to 8 a.m.

9 a.m.: Chasco Kayak races, Pithlachascotee River at Sims Park

10 a.m.-11 p.m.: Native American Festival; Chasco Carnival

10 a.m.-4 p.m.: Chasco Fiesta Memorabilia Exhibit, West Pasco Historical Society

11 a.m.-6 p.m.: Peace Hall Cafe and Art Scene (behind amphitheater)

11 a.m.-11 p.m.: West Pasco Sertoma Chicken Barbecue Noon: Chasco Fiesta Poker Run, Orange Lake

1 p.m.: Alumni Guard Chasco Fiesta Boat Parade, begins in Millers Bayou, south to Sims Park

7 p.m.: Country Concert featuring Blake Shelton and Keith Anderson ($25 Golden Square Seating, $15 general admission in advance; $30 and $20 at the gate)

Sunday 8-11 a.m.: Cotee River Lions Club Breakfast

11 a.m.-4 p.m.: Peace Hall Cafe and Art Scene, Peace Hall behind the amphitheater
