Tonight: Storm vs. Utah

By FRANK PASTOR, Times Staff Writer
Published April 1, 2006

WHEN/WHERE: 7:30; St. Pete Times Forum, Tampa.

TV/RADIO: FSN; 1250-AM. RECORDS: Tampa Bay 5-4, Utah 3-6.

COACHES: Storm - Tim Marcum (124-60, 12th season; 179-72 overall); Utah - Danny White (first season; 144-71 overall).

SERIES: First meeting.

NOTABLE: The Storm hopes to put itself back in the playoff picture after its second loss in three games, 61-51 to Georgia on Sunday. That dropped it to eighth in the National Conference. ... Utah has lost three of four. ... Tampa Bay activated linemen Mondre Dickerson and Nyle Wiren and fullback/linebacker Jarrod Penright. Receiver/linebacker Ronnie Daniels, defensive specialist Jeff Sanchez and lineman Greg Taplin were placed on injured reserve. Receiver/linebacker Mickey Peters was signed from the practice squad. Receiver/linebacker Bobby Sippio and lineman DeMarcus Johnson were waived earlier this week. ... White led Arizona to five ArenaBowls, winning two, in 13 seasons. His 144 victories and 20 postseason wins rank second to Marcum all-time. ... Utah quarterback Joe Germaine, out two games with a broken finger, returned to practice this week but called his status "iffy."
