Chasco stages a musical finish

Chasco Fiesta concludes today with two music events - the Serenaders Big Band with singer Joey Dee (Peppermint Twist) from 2 to 4 p.m. in the amphitheater and the Peace Hall Coffee House going from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the former Queen of Peace church building behind the amphitheater.

Both events are free.

The day starts at 8 a.m. with the Cotee River Lions Club breakfast, which continues until 11. Other food vendors will be open around the Sims Park sidewalk and in the Native American Festival village during the day.

Performers at the Coffee House start at 11 a.m. with James Hawkins, original acoustic stories; noon, Michelle Kay, comedy stylings; 12:15 p.m., West Pasco Poets; 1 p.m., Jules Dobrowolski, "breezy originals"; 2 p.m., Jodell, guitar and singing; and 3 p.m., John Bell and Glen Cantwell, flamenco and classical guitar.

Today 8-11 a.m.: Cotee River Lions Club Breakfast

11 a.m.-4 p.m.: Peace Hall Cafe and Art Scene, Peace Hall behind the amphitheater

11 a.m.-6 p.m.: Native American Festival

Noon-4 p.m.: West Pasco Sertoma Chicken BBQ

1-6 p.m.: Chasco Carnival

2-4 p.m.: The Serenaders Big Band with singer Joey Dee
