PHILADELPHIA - By the time Jimmy Rollins extended his hitting streak to 37 games, only half the crowd had stayed to see it.

Rollins kept up his pursuit of Joe DiMaggio's major league record 56-game hitting streak with a double in the eighth inning, but it was the lone bright spot for the Philadelphia Phillies.

Albert Pujols homered twice, Scott Rolen hit a grand slam and St. Louis potent offense pounded out 17 hits in a 13-5 victory. Chris Carpenter pitched five innings for the win, allowing four runs and nine hits.
