Get a taste of New Tampa at festival

A business expo is also part of the event to be held Sunday in the Shoppes lot.

WESLEY CHAPEL - For the third time in 13 years, the Taste of New Tampa will be held in Pasco County.

The annual food festival and business expo, which draws about 5,000 people, will be Sunday at the Shoppes at New Tampa parking lot on the east side of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard at State Road 56.

Tickets are $15 for adults; $10 for children ages 6-12. The event features all-you-can-eat samples from dozens of area restaurants. Advance tickets are $10 for adults and can be purchased through Saturday at these locations:

-- Prudential Tropical Realty (813-907-8200) - 1830 Bruce B. Downs at the Shoppes of New Tampa

-- Office of Dr. Todd Wiener (813-977-6962) - 14201 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. just south of Bearss

--PostNet of Wesley Chapel (813-973-9919) -1221 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. in the SuperTarget Shopping Center

-- You Do the Dishes (813-975-1700) - 15357 Amberly Drive at the Shoppes at Amberly in Tampa Palms

-- Frame by Frame Gallery (813-977-4841) - 16035 Tampa Palms Blvd. W at the Tampa Palms City Plaza next to Publix

-- Office of Dr. Gerry Perret (813-877-6453) - 15283 Amberly Drive at the Somerset Professional Park in Tampa Palms

The event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Two USF Bull Runner buses will offer shuttle service.

Proceeds benefit area PTAs and other nonprofit groups.
