Rockies 10, Padres 4
By Times Staff Writer

SAN DIEGO - Not even Padres ace Jake Peavy could slow down Colorado, which tore apart Petco Park as if it were Coors Field.
The Rockies became the first team to score at least 10 in three straight games at the downtown park, which opened in 2004. They beat the Padres 10-4 on Friday and 12-4 on Saturday.
Peavy failed to get an out in the fifth, allowing six straight hits to open the inning.
NOTABLE: Colorado's Cory Sullivan tied a record by hitting two triples in the fifth. It was the 11th time a big leaguer hit two triples in an inning, and the first since Gil Coan of the Washington Senators on April 21, 1951.
