Amber Alert criteria

Florida requires these conditions to be met before activating the Amber Alert:

  • The child must be younger than 18.
  •  There must be clear indication of an abduction.
  •  A law enforcement agency must conclude the child's life is in danger.
  •  There must be a detailed description of the child and/or abductor or vehicle.
  •  The activation must be recommended by the local law enforcement agency with jurisdiction.
