ST. PETERSBURG - A 45-year-old man died at Demen's Landing after falling off his boat into the water Monday night, police said.

Mark T. Pullen, 45, was found floating near his white sailboat around 6:30 p.m. Monday. Some witnesses told St. Petersburg police that Pullen was a heavy drinker and took medication for his high blood pressure.

Pullen lived on his boat at the marina at 200 2nd Avenue SE. Police are calling the death an accidental drowning.
