County preparing to move tax sales online

ST. PETERSBURG - The Pinellas County Tax Collector's Office soon will go online with tax certificate auctions, and two dates have been scheduled for training on the new system.

The free, two-hour sessions are 9 a.m. May 18 and 1 p.m. May 25 at the Tax Collector's Mid-County Service Center, 13025 Starkey Road, Largo.

Seating is limited and participants are encouraged to register by visiting the training section of the tax sale Web site, www.pinellastaxsale.com.

Event emphasizes getting pets spayed, neutered
