Man accused of molesting children says he has AIDS

Associated Press
Published April 12, 2006

EDGEWATER - A man accused of molesting children while his wife was babysitting them has told police he has AIDS, creating fears he may have infected victims.

Brian Keith Follmer, 38, was arrested last week and charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under 16. He is accused of touching two neighborhood children, a boy and a girl, both 8 years old, over their clothing while his companion, Deanna Clark, was watching them, police said.

Edgewater Detective Jo Anne Winston said a new accusation involves skin-to-skin contact with a 5-year-old girl. Investigators interviewed the girl Friday, she said. No charge has been filed.

Investigators plan to interview two other Volusia County children.
