Jr. Sungoddess begins her reign

ST. PETERSBURG - Candace Greenough was named the Festival of States Junior Sungoddess Wednesday in ceremonies at the Palladium Theater, winning a $2,500 scholarship.
Kristine Putrino, the first runnerup, received a $1,500 scholarship. The second runnerup, Emma Hauser, received $1,000.
Other finalists were Tasia Apostolou, Janae Carter, Layla Conyers, Najah Daher, Svetlana Damjanovic, Amanda Douglas, Lauren Ellis, Molly Falter, Meggie Ford, Sakira Hadley, Alexandra Kiney, Brittani Reeves, Olivia Rondolino, Meghan Schwartz, Taylor Traviesa and Tiffanie Williams.
AmSouth Bank contributed the winners' scholarships. The three will represent the 2006 Festival of States in the Illuminated Night Parade on May 12.
