TODAY

DRAWING CLASS: The University of South Florida Continuing Education will begin a two-weekend class teaching the five skills of drawing. The program runs through April 30. Call 813 974-2403 to learn about the cost.

NEW TAMPA Rotary CLUB: The New Tampa Rotary Club will meet at 7 a.m. for its weekly breakfast meeting in the Palms Room at Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club, 5811 Tampa Palms Blvd. Call (813) 376-0974.

ROAD CLEANUP: The Keystone Civic Association will hold a Gunn Highway Adopt-A-Road Cleanup from 8-11 a.m. Participants will meet between 7:30 and 8 a.m. at the Keystone Community Center, 17926 Gunn Highway. Refreshments and T-shirts will be provided. Call (813) 920-5561.

CLEANUP: Keep Hillsborough County Beautiful wants volunteers to come out and help with its annual Great American Cleanup. The event will take place from 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. at 30 locations around the county. For a list of locations, call (813) 960-5121.

All volunteers will be entered to win a Honda Civic Hybrid. Free T-shirts, refreshments and dining coupons will be handed out.

Volunteers are asked to also take part in the group's Trash-A-Thon, which is collecting pledges for the nonprofit group. The group that raises the most money will win a free dinner cruise, and the individual who raises the most will win a free massage. All will be entered to win a drawing for a four-person round of golf.

Volunteers should bring work gloves, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, close-toed shoes, insect repellent and water.

SUNDAY

PERSONAL TRIBUTE: A personal tribute is being held at 3 p.m. for Ethel Nix, an 88-year-old former bus driver. The appreciation and recognition will be held at Keystone United Methodist Church, 16301 Race Track Road, in Odessa. Call (813) 990-7181.

LOOKING AHEAD

FILM CLASS: The Life Enrichment Center is offering an eight-week film class for adults. The class will view and discuss popular films and documentaries that address social issues.
