1040 REASONS TO LAUGH: Love, Sex and the IRS continues this weekend at the Art Center Theatre, 2644 N Annapolis Ave., Citrus Hills at the Citrus County Art League. The play runs weekends through May 7. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays and on April 29. Tickets are $15 at the box office. For information, call 746-7606. LOOK AHEAD DIVORCE, COMEDY STYLE: Gulf Islands Civic Theatre's next production will be dinner theater at the new Tuscany on the Meadows in the Citrus Hills Lodge, County Road 486, Citrus Hills. The play Broken Up is a contemporary comedy about divorce written by Nick Hall. It opens May 12 and runs for one weekend. The event begins with a cash bar, hors d'oeuvres and the meal, and costs $35. Friday and Saturday entertainment starts at 6 p.m. Doors open for the Sunday matinee at 1 p.m. Dinner choices are prime rib and chicken. QUICK TRIPS 'FRUMPLED FAIRY TALES' is a Theatre for Young Audiences production on the outdoor stage at Ocala Civic Theatre, 4337 E Silver Springs Blvd. State Road 40 in the Appleton Cultural Center. The shows are at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. June 8, 9 and 10 and at 1:30 p.m. June 11. Tickets, which cost $5, go on sale May 15 or may be purchased at the door. 'CATS' IN OCALA: The popular Broadway musical opens May 11 and runs through June 4 at the Ocala Civic Theatre, 4337 E Silver Springs Blvd. (State Road 40) in the Appleton Cultural Center. Curtain times are 8:15 p.m. for evening performances and 2:15 p.m. for matinees. Tickets go on sale May 1 and cost $19 for adults and $9 for full-time students. The box office is open 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Saturdays on which there are performances. Call (352) 236-2274. ELKS GO COUNTRY: The Southern Comfort Band will appear at the Homosassa Elks Lodge, 7890 W Grover Cleveland Blvd., on May 6 as a part of a Derby Day Dinner Dance. JUST FOR LAUGHS: Comedian Al Aprill will headline at 8:30 tonight at Giggles Comedy Club at the Best Western Resort Weeki Wachee at U.S. 19 and State Road 50, Weeki Wachee.
