The Latest Development

Villas di Florencia

Check out one of the new developments in Tampa.

Published April 28, 2006

LOCATION: 116 S Fremont Ave.

DEVELOPER: Tampa Residential LLC.

DESCRIPTION: Two-story building with three townhomes. Each 1,700-square-foot unit has three bedrooms and 2½ bathrooms. Italian Romanesque architecture.

PRICE: Low $400,000s.

DESIGNER: Carlos Castilla and Associates, Tampa.

AMENITIES: Private gated entrance to each unit; pecan hardwood floors; granite countertops in kitchens and bathrooms; stainless steel appliances in kitchens; high ceilings; Roman tub and separate walk-in shower in bathrooms; tiled balcony off master bedrooms; two-car garage with steel panel garage doors; and centralized pest control tube system installed in walls.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING: "It feels like a substantial Italian villa," said Tampa Residential managing partner Bob Brozey. Details from the architecture to the dark pecan wood floors were inspired by a trip that Brozey's business partner Mike Schrenk took to Florence and Tuscany, Italy. "All that came right from the true Italian urban villas," Brozey said.

TIMELINE: An old house was demolished on the site last summer. Construction started Jan. 14 and is scheduled to be finished in early June.

MOVE-IN DATE: Early June.

FOR INFORMATION: Call the project information line at 813 453-4386.
