TAMPA - An inmate was found dead in the Orient Road Jail on Friday, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

Anthony Roy Briguglio, 19, was discovered not breathing in his jail pod at 7:44 p.m., said Detective Lisa Haber, spokeswoman for the Sheriff's Office. A detention deputy and a detention nurse tried to resuscitate him and he was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:45 p.m., she said.

The Sheriff's Office is investigating and an autopsy will be conducted, she said.

Beer Can Island blaze started as campfire

TAMPA BAY - A fire engulfed tiny Beer Can Island Saturday afternoon, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

The fire apparently started about 3 p.m., when a campfire blazed out of control, said Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Lisa Haber. Sheriff's Office and Tampa police boats and helicopters ferried county and city firefighters to the island, she said.

Body of woman, 46, discovered near her home

TAMPA - A woman was discovered dead at her Carrollwood home Saturday, the Sheriff's Office said.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Lisa Haber said Alan Grever awoke and could not find his wife, Audrey, 46. After searching the house and calling relatives, he called the Sheriff's Office, Haber said.

A deputy went to 10403 Carroll Cove Place and found Audrey Grever's body between a 2-foot-high porch and some bushes, Haber said. The Sheriff's Office is investigating and an autopsy is scheduled.

MySpace threat leads to teenager's arrest

LAKELAND - A high school senior was arrested Friday after he posted a threat on the popular MySpace.com Web site to blow up his private school, authorities said.

Deputies said they searched Brian Hall, 18, at Sonrise Christian School on Friday and found brass knuckles and a knife.

When deputies searched Hall's vehicle, they found two more knives and a pipe with marijuana residue inside, the Polk County Sheriff's Office reported. Hall was charged with having a weapon on school property and drug possession. Jail records showed he was in custody Saturday.

The teen had a clocklike icon on MySpace that was, according to the Web site, counting down the hours until he supposedly was going to destroy Sonrise Christian School, the Sheriff's Office said.

A visitor to the Web site told detectives about the message. Hall told deputies the comments were intended as a "senior prank," the Sheriff's Office said.
