Tampa sets limit: one day a week

By PATTY RYAN
Published May 4, 2006

The Tampa City Council on Thursday unanimously approved restricting lawn watering to one day a week. The restriction goes into effect immediately. Under the new rules, people with addresses ending in an even number, or the letters A-M, may water on Tuesdays only. Those with addresses ending in an odd number, or the letters N-Z, may water on Sundays only. The restrictions apply to people with private wells and people who live outside Tampa but receive water service from the city. Those using reclaimed water are not subject to the restrictions.
