  Return of the penguin
By Mike Wilson
On March 26 we introduced four new comics: Dog Eat Doug, Watch Your Head, F Minus and Peach Fuzz. We also eliminated Opus and Cathy on a trial basis and asked you to tell us what you thought.

The comics changes we announced last month are about to happen! Here's what's new:

-- A brilliant new daily and Sunday strip, Lio, told almost entirely in pictures, will debut in the comics pages on Monday. Read about creator Mark Tatulli on Monday in Floridian.

-- Also beginning Monday, Cathy will appear every day on our Web site, www.tampabay.com/comics. The strip will not be in the newspaper.

-- Cathy's move to the Web coincides with the launch of an online comics page that will include Opus, Watch Your Head, Pickles and other strips.

-- Opus will return to the Times' Sunday comics pages on May 21.

-- All four of the new comics in the paper - Watch Your Head, Dog Eat Doug, F Minus and Peach Fuzz - are staying there.

-- To accommodate these changes, The Phantom and Marvin will no longer appear in our pages.

FOR AN EXPLANATION YOU MAY OR MAY NOT LIKE, please see our April 30 story, "Return of the Penguin," at links.tampabay.com. To give feedback, send an e-mail to comics@sptimes.com or post your thoughts in our online discussion forum at www.itsyourtimes.com.
