ORLANDO - Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Friday it was "severing ties" with a former special agent-in-charge of Central and North Florida who allegedly exposed himself to a 16-year-old girl at a shopping mall.
Frank Figueroa, 49, has been on leave from his job with ICE in Tampa since his October arrest. He pleaded no contest last month to exposure of sexual organs and was sentenced Friday to a year on probation.
"ICE recognizes the serious nature of Mr. Figueroa's conduct and has taken necessary and appropriate steps to sever his ties with the agency," the agency said in a statement. A spokeswoman declined to say whether Figueroa resigned or was fired.
Millenia Mall security cameras filmed Figueroa as he sat across from the teen, according to arrest reports. He allegedly exposed himself and masturbated.
