FLORAL CITY MATH WINNERS: Floral City Elementary School announces its Math Field Day winners from fourth and fifth grade.

* Fifth grade problem solving: first place, Bre'a Langley, Riley Reed and Steven Smith; second place, Cody Bitner, Deanna Mielke, Deycasha Miller and Daniel Vielleux; third place, Cody Higgenbotham, Kelci Parker and Stephen Reese.

* Fifth grade project winners: Jamie Bandy, Alex Mundreanu, Jessica Myers, Raymond Vielleux and Brian Williams.

* Fourth grade problem solving: first place, Trevor Beckwith, Julio Mendez, Martina Mercado and Rachel Sweet; second place, Amber Huckabee, Jessica Phillips, Britney Robinson and Dakota Winnie; third place, Tyler Austin, Alexis Budowski, Brooke Sansoucie and Chase Sykes.

* Fourth grade project winners: Jonathan Chadwell, Marty Chestnut, Chancie Haigler and Casey Jones.

CFCC TRUSTEES: Gov. Jeb Bush appointed Dr. Riadh Fakhoury as a representative of Marion County, and reappointed trustee Carol Sullivan as a representative of Levy County, to the Central Florida Community College board of trustees. Fakhoury replaces Frank Rasbury, whose term expires May 31. Sullivan is chairman of the board. Mari-Elain Ebitz and Betty Strifler represent Citrus County on the board.
