Crystal River Middle School eighth-graders were asked: "How do you feel about leaving middle school and entering high school?" ZAC LEE, 14: "I feel pretty happy about finishing middle school. I've worked hard for three years. I feel overwhelmed and excited about going into high school; all these new doors to open, so many new opportunities, so many new classes. They give you opportunities to work for your life." MACON NEWCOMER, 13: "I feel confident about going into high school because I feel I've been prepared very well here in the middle school. Like Zac said, there are so many new opportunities. I'm also very excited to go into high school because I've heard from my brother that you have more freedom and that there's a lot more school-related activities." TIA LUEALLEN, 14: "I actually can't wait to get out of middle school because I feel I've already dominated this little thing in middle school, and at the high school I plan to take over also. I want to be involved in everything." JILLIAN REID, 14: "I can't wait to get out of middle school because in high school you find out what you want to do and it's supposedly the best years of your life. I also want to get involved with everything and just have a blast with my friends."
