LAND O'LAKES - A 44-year-old man is in jail, accused of having a sexual relationship with a teenager.
Terry Raymond Cole, of 19527 Lake Patience Road, faces a charge of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, a felony.
According to an arrest report, Cole and the girl, 16, had a sexual relationship over the course of a year "in various cities throughout the United States." A witness told investigators that Cole admitted the relationship and said he and the girl had almost been caught by her father in her family's house in New Port Richey.
Cole, whose listed occupation is musician, was arrested April 6. He remained in the county jail in Land O'Lakes Wednesday. Bail was set at $5,000.
Fox found on porch is feared to be rabid
DARBY - A woman came home Tuesday evening to find a fox, believed to be rabid, on her front porch. She notified the Sheriff's Office, but the animal got away before it could be captured.
Jody Graham, of 15131 Bellamy Brothers Blvd., told the Sheriff's Office the fox was howling and had reddish foamy mucus dripping from its mouth. Then it ran into the woods.
A deputy who responded saw the fox from about 50 feet away but couldn't tell whether it was sick. The fox ran off again, the report says.
County animal control officers do not respond after hours to rabid animal calls, the report says. The deputy told Graham she could shoot the fox if she thought it was threatening her or her animals.
Animal control officials could not be reached Wednesday.
