And the winners aren't. . .

  You make the call
Tonight's the night to cast your final vote. Who will be the next American Idol?

America votes, but TV producers build the ballot box
PREVIEW: American Idol airs tonight at 8 on WTVT-Ch. 13, with the two finalists performing, followed by the two-hour season finale Wednesday night at 8, when the winner will be revealed.

What happened to the picks Sharon Fink and Sean Daly made in their March 14 chart in Floridian previewing Idol's final 12?

SHARON: I picked Chris Daughtry. And then he committed one of performing's biggest sins: He got boring. All his songs began to sound the same. And he didn't have cleavage or endearingly bad dancing to fall back on. I wasn't surprised to see him go.

SEAN: I picked incandescent powerhouse Mandisa. She had both cleavage AND bad dancing to fall back on. But it wasn't enough. Viewers, it seems, were turned off by (1) her zaftig figure (2) her shout-outs to Jesus and/or (3) her overflowing Mandisa-ness. Shame on you, America. Shame on you.
