ST. PETERSBURG -- Scott W. Snow, the landlord of the Chinook Apartments, has been given two weeks to fix the code violations at his apartment building or face fines. The city’s code enforcement board has ordered Snow to fix the remaining 20 property code violations at his building, including broken doors and mold and mildew, within 15 days or he will be fined $200 per day. Snow, 55, of Oldsmar testified at the hearing at City Hall on Wednesday that he has resolved several of the problems at his building, which the city shut down on May 2 because of fire code violations. About 120 tenants were evacuated. “Now that nobody’s in there,” Snow said during the hearing, “we expect to be going beyond the code issues.”
