TAMPA - Two Pierce Middle School students were hospitalized with neck pain after a school bus accident Wednesday morning, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

The two-vehicle accident happened at 8:26 a.m. on Anderson Road, just south of Waters Avenue, sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said.

Deputies say a school bus carrying 40 students had stopped at a traffic light, when another vehicle struck a Toyota stopped behind the bus, pushing the Toyota into the bus. There was minor damage to the vehicles, Carter said.

No one was cited in the accident.
